I think the best aspect was his ingenious use of simple appropriate technology that brought the benefits of civilization to a primitive environment. The community failed becuase he had NO understanding of people, either those in his own family or the indigenous people around them.

Helen Mirren as the queen is fine, but Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones again??

One of my favorite movies is “The Mosquito Coast” adapted from the Paul Theroux novel, starring Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren and the late River Phoenix. I think the movie was like 20 years ago, and I notice that Harrison Ford hasn’t aged that much, he still looks about the same back then… but Helen Mirren has aged tremendously… and it was shocking to me how well she played and looked the part of the queen (I hope she wins the Globes and Oscar). But does Harrison Ford still have what it takes to play Indiana Jones??? I mean, won’t those stunts he did back in the 80s be difficult to replicate?
